New family of five from Quebec, Canada

Hello! We've been lurking here as we planned our project over the past 6 months and we've just driven home a 2007 Diesel GMC Short Bus and we're ready to get started We're based in Quebec, Canada and we're planning a pretty minimal refit (less seats, more beds) for "car" camping. We've got three kids.

We've currently got the bus down to 8 passenger seats, and have modified the bus to be legal (for us) on the road. Here in Quebec that meant covering up the "School bus" signs, removing the side stop flashing sign, and disabling and covering up the roof flashing lights.

We've just signed on for insurance and received our non-RV license plate. We're planning on adding a sleeping platform/storage area in the back and then hitting the road!

Hey there! We’re currently stripping our short bus in Quebec as well! We didn’t have any original seats in our bus when we got it as it was partially converted. Where are you at now in your conversion?
