New from Central Texas

I lost my sanity and bought a 95 full size Bluebird. I know absolutely nothing about how to go about converting this big yellow thing into my home on wheels, but nothing ventured nothing gained! I am still in the transition of paperwork and all and have not yet received it in my hands to start to dissect it, but I am giddy about it and at the same time overwhelmed. So much to do, but I am told the first thing after all mechanical issues are addressed is to get it painted. I would like to protect it as best I can without buying the ranch and welcome any well meaning suggestions. I am sure it is best to have a light color on the roof...this is Texas after all, but I will have nothing else but olive green for the main color. (matches my eyes!)
