Careful... The early years of diesel emissions systems were no fun. Lots of issues and costly repairs.

Is it gas or diesel?

Diesel. 6.6 dmax. Not a fan of that engine but I know the bus it runs good. pre DEF. I am the mechanic here at the school we have had the bus since new. Pretty low miles 70ish miles on it.

Hmm... depending on if it were an early 07 vs a late 07, you may not have the DPF and emissions nonsense.

With 70k on it and knowing the service history, I wouldn't be too afraid of it assuming the price is right.

.
Refresh my memory.
Was 2007 the last year of that engine?
Was it discarded because of newer emissions demands?
.
Could your vehicle face exclusion zones -- looking at you, Californians -- because it doesn't meet their [arbitrary, du-jour] demands?
.
.
New engines -- would you like some Exhaust Fluid?
Me -- I am all good here, thanks anyway.

ME (being the smart ass I am when it comes to stupid crap): No, but I could use some blinker fluid.

You might be surprised at how deeply all those emissions systems are buried into the "brains" of the rig. They're designed specifically to thwart attempts at removal and it's not longer a simple matter. be SURE you're not making the rig undriveable before yo pull stuff out.
