New girl in town

Hiya!

I'm Izzy. I'm 38, a retired chef. I'm a sci-fi nerd and motorcycle rider. I'm an avid hiker and I have a beautiful mainecoon who likes to join me.

After the covid crashed my industry I decided to go ahead and just get out of the whole working for someone else thing and bought this bus.

Now, the title would have you believe it's a 1972 harvester international and the shop manuals It came with verifies her status as a TransStar...which obvi.
However, the stock dash's curves and the windshield beg for further investigation.
The windshield manufacturers (I've called more than a couple) have all told me it's definitely not a 1972 H-I BUS... so unless I can ever identify her, I'm stuck with a custom built windshield, which then might as well be Bulletproof so I never have to buy it again... go big or go home.

My girlfriend and I have been filming our exploits as we repair the bus, I'm hopeful we will able to launch a YouTube channel this summer with loads of fun content.

So imma go ahead and post pix of her now.

Per identifying it, I'm assuming you've scoured it for plaques and such identifying it in some manner?

You should be able to also find information on the axels, transmission and engine. That won't tell you the body manufacturer, but it might lead you in the right direction. Save all that identification information once you find it. You'll use it sometime later!

Hopefully someone on here will simply reply and say..."Oh, that's a blah blah blah".

Your bus is made by Wayne. If you are lucky you will find a window somewhere. right now as far as I know there are no used or new windows known to exist. IF and this is a big IF you can find another window that is close enough in the right shape, a good glass cutter can cut the glass to match. The problem as far as I know, no one has done the work to see if there is another window that is usable to cut up to make those windshields.

I have recently seen a motor home made out of a RE = rear engine Wayne. Looked a lot like a bluebird Wanderlodge.... but it was also a wayne with those front windshields. I know of one other person looking for window for the same kind of bus. He has been looking for six years now....

Bloody hell, that is one good looking bus. I’m not into the retro style too much, but that is one of the few that has what it takes.

Looks like a really well done older conversion. Someone obviously put a lot of work into that bus.

Never seen that body style before. Can only guess what it is but those windshield pieces look unobtanium
