I'm in the planning phase of Skoolie living! Is there anything you wish you knew before getting started?

Just how long it takes to even do basic demo. I'm 2 years into my project and have only just begun to build out the interior.

Working full time jobs doesn't always leave a lot of extra time to make progress on a bus conversion.

What did your demo consist of?
We are considering lifting the roof up an extra foot to make the space more comfortable...

Completely stripped down to bare metal. Inner ceiling/walls removed and plywood floor pulled up.

You will be doing the same if you are doing a roof raise. Get a Blue Bird or IC if you are planning on RR...Thomas buses have slanting sidewalls that make roof raises on them a bit more complicated.
