New here, from Virginia!

Hi! I'm Jenny. I am in the initial stages of searching for a bus and planning my skoolie. I have very little knowledge and am looking for some good resources. Info about the pros and cons of different engines, what to look for when buying a bus, best places to search for one, etc. I also don't want to spend more than 4k for the initial bus. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking for something like a 30 passenger or less. Roads in and out of my neighborhood wouldn't allow anything bigger.

Welcome, Jenny!

I too am starting my journey with a skoolie. I'm one step ahead, though - I just bought my school bus.

Facebook marketplace was where I got mine, and it was a pretty good resource for me. Craigslist would also be a good place to look, as well as government auction sites like and

Otherwise, this website is a fantastic resource! I have learned so much in the two months I've been around. Welcome to the forums!

Look at the auctions. They do allow inspection before bidding.
