Hello. I have been using this site for awhile now for research.
I recently pulled the trigger and bought my bus. Its a 97 gmc blue bird 40 footer. Has a 366 dual fuel at545 trans. It has never been ran on fuel only propane.
The bus garage this bus came from was actual ran by a family member. Big plus I feel.
I am located in central michigan. I am planning to use it for multiple reasons.
1. Going to my art shows. I make metal yard art.
2. Just good old vacations.
3. We plan to hopefully travel a few months at a time in the future.
Glad to be here and look forward to learning and sharing as I get the experience.
Congrats... I'm considering one of those myself... Welcome to the club... You'll soon be HAPPY to see those nice young men in their clean white coats, and they're coming to take you AWAY, HA-HA!...
Thanks. My brain is all ready mush. However I think I have my plan dialed in now. On the plus side I have a 30 foot fifth wheel I am gonna use for donor parts. Sinks shower tanks stove awning ECT. I will most likely go composting toilet and house refrigerator though.
With high-load refrigeration demands or any other high-amperage power requirements (such as a welder, since you mentioned making metal art), use a good generator. Air-conditioning, household-type appliances / accessories and any other high-amperage demands will take a battery bank down quick.
