Hello All,

My name is Rich and I'm in the foothills in California. I am preparing for a 1 year plus road trip around the country with my family and we intend to convert a school bus to do it. So I am here to participate, help and learn!

I have narrowed it dow to looking for a flat nose thomas bus in the 30' range, 32' would be ok. Preferably a pusher. Also hoping to get the extended roof height thomas with the under bus storage and a handicap or emergency door towards the rear of the bus for our conversion!

Thanks in advance to everyone here for sharing their knowledge!

Welcome aboard, Rich! Sounds like a worthwhile trip, and I hope you like to blog so that we can share in your adventures. I have had my bus for a total of a week, and have been happily stripping the interior along with fixing a few minor issues such as dead instrument lights and non-functioning fast idle system. Good luck finding your ideal bus - persistence will eventually pay off. In the meantime, you're at the right place to prepare yourself for the conversion.
