i am new to small diesels.
my 6.0 power stroke is really nice after it was bullet proofed stock with EGR & oil cooler remedies.
people tend to chip & hot rod them which usually causes more problems?
its actually a amazing motor in performance!
i ran it with a bad injector & 3 bad glow plugs for months and thought it was fine LOL.
what a difference everything made when brought up to specs!
so the only thing i know about the duramax is once a injector goes out you should change all at the same time.
because they will start failing one after the other?
something to do with powerstroke is a low fuel pressure and duramax has a high fuel pressure?
so my suggestion for black betty is find a trustworthy diesel shop and have them plug into the modual and check for fail codes?
you may have nothing or there may be a few things that need attention?
the duramax should be a good motor as far as i know.
seems like all motors are not perfect LOL
i learned that the gasoline V-10's spark plugs have shorter threads than normal and sometimes kinda weld themselves into the head?
i came across a shuttle bus for sale.
the ad said it ran good but one cylinder was misfiring?
i thought ya he probably couldnt change a plug so he decided to sell it instead of opening up a can of worms LOL
