Newbie!

Thanks for allowing me to join your group. We just purchased a 1975 Blue Bird Custom Skoolie that has a raised roof and finished nicely. It has been retrofitted with a 671 Detroit Diesel engine and a 4 speed Allison automatic sourced from a 1983 firetruck. I'm hoping to learn and enjoy this new adventure.

Welcome! That sounds pretty cool. I for one would love to see pics if you're willing (after the 5-ish post minimum for posting images, that is).

Is it a pusher?

I was surprised to learn from Wikipedia just now that the Blue Bird All American had optional Detroit 6-71 or 6v92's until 1980, though I'm guessing those didn't end up in many school buses. Your repowered bus is probably pretty unique.
