Newbie!

Hi! I'm Nena, I'm French but I live in Upstate NY (please pardon my sometimes 'twisted' English! ). My husband and I are planning a several months trip in Europe with our dogs, and would love to go to South America too, later.

Because I need to have my own place (and it's not always easy to find places to stay with two dogs), I thought about getting an RV, either in the US or in France. Then I realized how small and expensive RV are in Europe! Also, our budget woudn't allow us to buy a very recent one, and I'm a bit worried about how RV age. Which led me to think about getting a skoolie, and after some research, it seems it would be a much better option for us, as it would be easier to have a floor plan that really fits our needs.

The next step is to find out if the cost of insurance wouldn't be prohibitive (I've seen people paying several thousands for 6 months for their RV!), and if we can find a reasonable solution, then it will be time to look for our future home on wheels!!
So, as you can see, we're at the very beginning of the journey, and we'll need a lot of advices from more experienced people!! Already found so many interesting information on this forum, plenty to think about and work with!!

Thank you! It sounds pretty reasonable! May I ask which insurance company you have? Are you covered only within the US or can you drive it abroad too?
