Newbie from KC doing research before buying

Well like topic says. No Skoolie as yet .
Doing research before I spend the moola.
Not sure what to buy or build. Depending on how much we plan on traveling ( retirement just starting) I reckon .
I have been looking at 6 windows with both lift and not . We both learned on 3 on the tree .
I find lots of views on this engine and that engine. I have decades of experience with the old 7.3 in my 88 f250. .
My main goal will be to find the right drive train combination and hydro brakes. That is if I go international type skoolie
Cutting and building is just steps in a project. Worked construction and farm life makes you about ready for darn near anything. Not afraid to hear advice.
When trying something new I have learned to listen to those that have done it.
I prefer to stay around a 6 window and not ruling out a 5 in a e series . I have 2 requirements a place for a bed and a way to take a T-120 with us.

I love the 7.3L engine and have the International version (T444E) in my bus. It won't win no races, but it will get you there reliably. Most of these models with this engine have the Allison AT545 which many members don't care for because of no overdrive, but I just did a 5400 mile cross country trip with mine without complaint. Top speed will be under 65 MPH.
