Not much of a new guy but a love for Carpenter buses
Hi. The reason why I chose Carpenter and the year 1964 was because Special School District bought scores of Carpenter buses. I think they bought their first set in 1962 which were the Vistaramic type that seated 24 students and then in 1964, they bought some more with the same type of body (Vistaramic) but in 1964 the ones they bought seated 36 passengers. Then in 1965 was when they went to the Ultaramic type and they bought a fleet of 36 passenger and 48 passenger buses. Then a year or two later they bought another set when Ford did a face lift on the hood. Then in 1967, a prototype came when Carpenter redesigned the front entrance door. I started going to school in 1967.
