Ottawa Area Corporate Hippie and Welder taking on a new project

Hey guys!

We just bought a 2002 Chevy Express Shortie, Diesel. Been doing as much reading as I can and man is everyone here so knowledgeable and helpful!

We're in the middle of gutting it all the way down to expose and repair all the rust, and trying to get a handle on the mechanical. The metalwork doesnt scares us, but the mechanical is foreign to us.

Any tips for first timers or anyone in the area, we'd love to hear from you!
