Greetings from the internet!
My wife and I first had the skoolie idea seed planted in our brains on a trip to Alaska in 2017. We saw a short bus with a stove pipe coming through the roof, a deck on top, and a crazy paint job.

At first we thought this was just an Alaskan being...well, Alaskan. Only later did we realize that this was "a thing".
Flash forward to 2018, we have both decided to get out of the Army and it seemed like a good opportunity to take a mega road trip. After a bit of debate (RV, travel trailer, tiny home trailer, skoolie, etc.), we decided to go with the skoolie. I spent a lot of time researching and trying to find a bus on auction sites. Eventually in June of 2019 we ended up buying a bus from the Tampa Bus Market (that is a whole other story that involves a one way Greyhound ticket, some Monster energy drinks, and several gallons of coolant).
Since then we have slowly been chipping away at it. I'll start my build thread in the appropriate place, but I wanted to do introductions here. We are currently building at a friend's house about 30 minutes south of Louisville, KY.
