Proud "New" Parent
Hey folks,
I've joined many forums through the years, but I've gotta say this is definitely the first bus group I've had the pleasure of. I purcahsed my '87 E350 a couple of months ago from a retired gentleman that used it for UVA tailgates. He put roughly 8,000 total miles on it since 2002.
The group of folks I go camping and canoeing with have always joked about getting a short bus to run shuttle up and down the river, tow the canoe trailer, etc. Well, it's finally become a reality. My plan is to keep it fairly "rustic", I just don't have the budget to get carried away with outfitting it. That, and it's a pretty short bus, so there's not a TON of room.
I joined up to learn and get ideas on layout, storage, and all those little "life hacks" that are associated with a project such as this.
Immediate goals are: 1) curtains, 2) keg tap for exterior pouring, 3) tearing out all but the first row of seats and creating a platform of some description for the air mattress. I'm thinking something that folds in half, and then folds up against the wall. We'll see how it turns out.
Thanks,
Derek
