The 34

Hello everyone. Brandon here. Just started out Skoolie adventure. Picked up a 1999 International 3800 t444e 8 window Amtran bus to convert into our camping adventure rig. We have been tent campers for ever and had enough of rain and wind knocking our tents down. Figure it was time to create something more to camping in since me and the wife are getting older. 42 and 41.

The bus had some overheating issues on the way home. Its got 235k miles so I knew I was going to have some issues. Changed the thermostat ran it to our local lake 25 miles in the summer heat and it seems that fixed overheating issue so far. Ripped most of the seats out and evaluated the floor to repair damage before following Chuck Cassidy's YouTube on putting a floor in. Going to use 2 inch foam on our build as it's just a get away weekend camper. Still debating the floor plan with the wife. So far a King bed in the rear and a 12k ac/heat mini split have been decided on.

On the horizon I would like to raise the roof 12 inches, strip the walls and roof for insulation. Looking at ideas on under body generator and outdoor kitchen ideas. Kind of sucks the fuel tank is passenger side behind walk up door.

Thanks for the great info on here and other resources I have found so far.
