Thomas Vista a rap?

I'm hoping to get some quick feedback about Thomas Vista. I'm in the process of finalizing a deal on a 30ft 1995 International Thomas Vista with a Dt408. Except for one I got good feedback. The solo negative was on the how bus was built and how the engine sits half in and out. I don't know that much about the body. Thanks.

I have owned a 5 window Vista for a bit over a year. We had some fun trips in it last summer and then I pulled it apart for conversion. Several people on the forum bash on Vistas for a poor ride quality and noise. Ours is noisy but we love the bus for its maneuverability due to its short nose. I'd be curious to hear what other concerns there are, or what I should be worried about.

I've driven a 35 foot Thomas Vista. It was dreadful compared to any other bus I've driven. It felt way overloaded with just a simple conversion. The ride was harsh enough to break appliances.
I don't think that same bus with a roof raise would be any more pleasant.
Engine heat, spotty build quality, and the jarring ride are three big reasons I don't like the Vista.

BACK AWAY FROM THE THOMAS VISTA! This is by far the worst bus ever. I love Thomas, but man did they screw this bus up! It's horrible, horrible mechanicals, horrible maneuvering, horrible power, horrible ride, HORRIBLE!

Favorite Vista memory...the 1997 bus driving down the road...hits a bump...windshield falls out.

Our last 3 Vistas are going out of here in June and we're going to have a party. I tried to get the boss to lock the gate and let us play demolition derby with them and the last one moving wins but he wouldn't bite!

The folks driving and maintaining them for a living are a good source of info!

They toured the country in a Vista. They have since sold the Vista and now have a large Bluebird.

YEah it was theirs I got to experience.
They told me they wished they'd started with any other bus.

They're hardcore, man. They're good at making do with what they have.
