We found our bus!
We've just purchased a 28 passenger 1997 Blubird TC2000 with a Cummings 5.9 and Allison transmission and only 91,000 miles. It was formerly a United States Air Force bus and then did a few years as a church bus. Having had a 70+ passenger bus that was partially converted over a decade ago I knew the ins and outs of having such a large bus. We opted for this bus for many reasons one being the short wheel base as our travels will bring us into the cities from time to time. I love the ability to turn on a dime and flip u turns on city streets with little to no hassle. As we are minimalists this size is perfect for our 2 dogs and 2 year old. I plan on going the whole way with this one as we plan on selling our home and going off the grid until we find new land to settle! Any input as far as this style of bus is concerned would be helpful. Any input, tips, warnings, pointers as far as adding solar water etc to a short bus would be greatly appreciated.
We look forward to meeting you on the road.
Chris and Kei!
