We got one!

Hi again! You've met us, now meet our new addition!

She says her name is Delores. That will do as a working title, until she's reborn in her tiny living glory.

International Carpenter 1995 3000 series 3800 65 passenger 10 window with lift door turned to a roll up garage door. 112k, partial conversion done, rv toilet installed, floors in amazing shape, screws in walls AND roof! Starts easy and Runs like a dream, so says my guy who has been around a few diesels.

I have some questions, namely- how do I find out what to call the engine, transmission, and other under the hood details (aside from call around and find a diesel mechanic to take her to)? The seller was happy as long as it ran and it didn't ever have trouble so he's short on details and my husband thought it would be on the title.

Thanks for any tips you want to pass along. We've been deep in you tube for months now, demo had already started, and tomorrow we move it to build location to spend a week with it and figure out our next steps. Internet service will be spotty but I have online class to go into town for and I'll see you all then.

Off we go!

Looks like it could be a diamond in the rough. Rust doesn't look serious, but deal with it as soon as possible. If that's a Carpenter body, try to find out where it was built, I seem to remember something about Indiana-built Carpenters having problems with bad welds at the factory. Easy fix, but requires some demolition work and inspection to find.

Kinda looks like a 7.3 but I'm not sure. An International dealer can probably tell you from the VIN for the incomplete chassis. May also be able to help on the trans too. Here's some basic info on trans ID:
