Talking What have I got myself into now!!!!

Well after not driving any large vehicle in 10 years I find myself behind the wheel of a large automobile... and I say to my self is this my life now? Driving down in it on 68 through WV in a 77PAX buss! lol

Thank you everyone for sharing your conversions Big help and inspiration!

I am the proud owner of a 2008 IC 3000 with DT-466 single turbo. Well maintained but the miles are up there 244k at purchase... is that high? figured it is about at mid life if I maintain properly and do not overload.

I hope I can add something positive to the community!

Kind regards
ZW

ha!! my little red bus pretty much is a Texas minivan . even came out of texas and I use it like a daily driver.

I do remember thiugh driving my DEV bus back from a trip in florida in late november.. I77 ..60 MPH winds and it started sleeting.. at one point the steering got "super easy like a cadillac".. all i can say is thanks for the rumble strips.. just rough enough i could keep the wheels on the right side of the bus spinning.. the left side wheels were all stopped.. lucky for me about a half mile before the big turnpike stop.. beckley.. limped my way there.. as I parked and sort of half walked / half skated into the building I heard nothing but banging and booming as trucks wrecked up...

thats when I discovered the beauty of travelling... I had been trying to return to ohio so I could build out a server rack formy data center.. after a couple hours sleep I found my way back to the SOUTHBOUND I77 entrance and went back to florida
