From what I've read and seen the military is the hard time[emoji20]

You're definitely a Texan if you'd rather drive 16 hrs R/T. Texans are wild about their cars and driving. I lived in Texas for 4 year and it never eased to amaze me.

When I lived in Houston I was going to Chicago for the WEEKEND once and you would not believe how many people asked me "You gonna drive?" Um, it's 24 hours there and 24 back and a 48 hour weekend. No, I'm not gonna drive. WTF?!?

In six days last summer I rode my motorcycle from ...
Minneapolis to just north of Winnipeg. Then back into the US, across the Dakotas and Wyoming to Denver. From Denver I went to Dallas then on to Key West via New Orleans and Pensacola.
I ended that trip and slowed down a bit for the ride from Tampa back to Tulsa.
Six Days, Six Thousand Miles.
ps ... I failed at what I was attempting to do. If you wanna read about it, I'll post the link.

Not so much wanting to drive...more I don't wanna meet a stranger on turf w/o any way away from him...I'd need to get around in Lubbock from the airport...eliminate as many variables as possible
