1949 Bombardier C18 School Bus
This unit was used as a school bus in the area of Sherbrooke Quebec in the late 1940's, and early 1950's. It held 18 children and made it possible for the pupils to reach school even in the deep snow.
It was completely reconditioned by Bombardier and was stored in Salt Lake City, Utah for several years before we purchased it.
All new running gear (tracks, wheels, drive cogs etc)
Powered by a flat head Chrysler engine, and weighs 4,500 pounds.
It is constructed mostly of plywood.
Own a piece of history!
We have one of those sitting at a garage in town here, but it's yellow. I always wondered what the dang thing was since it looks more like a submarine than anything. It only has wheels on the front though.
