I'll be a son of a beach if I came across as a littoral minded person.

Did you do any shipboard time? If so, what boat(s)?

Mostly land bases, spent 6 months on a carrier that was in dry dock. USS Constellation CVA64, decommissioned now. Rate doesn't exist now either.

The Connie was our sister ship during that Viet Nam thing. I was on the Kitty Hawk, CVA-63. She was finally retired as well but not before setting the record as the second longest serving ship in the Navy. The original USS Constitution (aka; Old Ironsides") was never retired and is technically still in active service.

Go Navy!

Hey fellow Hawker, I was stationed on Miss Kitty for two years as a marine guard, she was then classified as cv63.
