96 International 3800 engine/transmission question.

Hey y'all,

Looking into purchasing a bus posted by another user. Curious if what y'all could tell me about the engine/transmission combo on a 3000 series 3800 International. Looks like the engine is maybe a T444 7.3L V-8 Truck Motor? Engine has the following on it "SNV444C8DARW". Whats the difference between a T444 and T444e if that is the case. In general what do y'all think of the engine and transmission that might be in this bus?

Yes it is in essence a 7.3 powerstroke with different tuning and accessories. The difference between the 444 and 444e is an electric vs mechanical fuel pump I believe.

I have the same bus and been all over the country in it. Very reliable, but not powerful or fast.
