We had a pretty large discussion going on about this here:

think I'm going to try it in my 70 GMC Jimmy with rebuilt (5000 miles) 350... I Need to top it off and get a base reading first. I'll then keep track of how many miles I go then I'll top it off again divide gallons into the miles traveled for MPG, then I'll do the same for the acetone tank... now as long as I see in increase thats good, dont pay atention to my actual miles as I have 40 inch tires on my truck and th mialage is messed up per say actual miles, since my tires are larger I'm traveling farther than what my odometer is reading. Keep ya posted...
