air dryer help

Evey time the bus gets up to normal presure the valve pops on the botton of the air dryer. i push it back in and it builds air but then does it all over agein. anyonw know how to fix this ? thanks

There are several solutions to the valve discharging air. The valve could be defective. The compressor govenor is set too high or defective. Air system could be dirty with excessive oil and sludge. Use a mechanical air pressure gage and connect at over pressure valve. Start engine and not when valve opens. Usually top air pressure is at 120 PSI. My guess is the govenor is defective. These units are cheap and easy to change. Frank
