Another Skoolie benefit

Been anticipating a fair size storm and this morning it hit. About 3am the power to our house went out and by daylight it was getting cold inside. Went out and fired up the bus genni, plugged it into the house fridge and moved into the now warm bus until the power returned about 1130am. Ran the propane AND the diesel heat for a while.
Watched TV and made some tea while Mary did some painting all while being nice and toasty. Ahhh, the bus life.

36 and snowing right now but all's well inside the now warm house.

Stay warm Skoolies.

I had hoped to test backfeeding the bus inverter power back into the house at some point. With the current array it wouldn't last a long time but I could definitely get away with powering the necessities for a day or two.

If the power goes out on one of these winter storms I'll definitely be giving it a go.
