If anyone's interested, I play a bit on the following site, under the username 'Kakkerlak'. You can play for free or subscribe, although if you have any ad-blockers in place eventually they nudge you into a subscription. It's an electronic version of correspondence chess, so you don't have to worry about carving out time for a whole game (though blitz options are available):
