Anybody out there near Marshall Arkansas?
I'd like someone to lay some eyes on this for me:
422 Auction Services - Mathies & Sons, Inc.
The pics are a little fuzzy. It closes next Tuesday, so this weekend? I'll pay gas, burgers, and beer.

I saw some rust in the stairwell. I would suspect that there is some other rust lurking about.

Overall it looks pretty good. I don't care for the unknown mileage response. Trans model not mentioned either. Tires at 50%. Isn't that about a 5,000 mile trip to get it to your place?
Personally I wouldn't want to be on that trip with an unfamiliar bus. Mapping couldn't come up with a route. Looks like you're going to have to float that one out of there.

I t looks to me like it has 270k miles and is equipped with an MD3060.
"Bus was driven 270k miles on flat and mountain roads
* Ran 70 mph on flat and pulls GOOD on hills"
If you look at the pictures you will see the push button shifter which is a strong clue that it has the MD3060.

That's very observant. The mileage still isn't good news but not a deal breaker.
Are there roads leading out of Marshal? I'm not familiar with that area of AK, but on the map it appears they take their shipments by air and by the Yukon. I could be wrong, but that looks as landlocked as Ketchikan.
Anybody familiar with that area?

You guys appear to be looking in Marshal AR, but the listing says Marshal AK.
Which is it?

Ok, just a clerk that doesn't know the state abbreviations. Much better than floating down the Yukon.

What do you mean, no stinkin' route home?
Not sure if the pic is attached; I tried the teensy paperclip in the 'compose message' window.

I would volunteer but I am afraid that travel expenses would be a deal killer.....

dan, go for it. A unit with those many miles has been a good runner. ya, you may have to spend a few quid when the time comes, but the platform to build is favourable.
Roll the dice.. others here have and won. That is yer jackpot!
If me, wouldn't touch anything sight unseen but that looks pretty sweet, although I don't like the price right now.

What's wrong with $650? Unless it's that whole "reserve not met" thing. I'm mulling over putting a $1001 bid on it and seeing if that hits reserve.
It'd trash our Xmas vacay, so it's gotta be worth pi$$ing off SWMBO. One reason I wanted a set of eyeballs and another few dozen pics of it, maybe in focus this time.
