Anyone get a bus impounded in Indiana recently?

I was scrolling through the autoreturn sales list for December 12, 2019. For anybody who doesn’t know what autoreturn is, if a car gets impounded and no one picks it up in Indianapolis, they are a company contracted by the state that auctions them off. There was one marked as a Chevy “other” that caught my eye and I noticed the vin was a b series bus. The color is marked as purple which I thought was odd for a bus. Maybe someone’s old skoolie? Not sure. I’m planning on attending the auction on the 12th so I’ll keep you guys posted as to what this thing isClick image for larger version

Well it seems that it's a Bluebird but it's a 1990 so they don't have any data online. They did use Chevy chassis in a few different models so no telling what it might be. If it's a type A it would either be a 6.2 diesel or 5.7 gas. if it's bigger it could be one of those, a CAT (3208?). Not sure if they offered a Cummins option at the time. Do they not have pre-auction viewing available?

Occasionally they will post pictures but they usually don’t. The only viewing you usually get is an hour or two before the bidding starts

Without pics not sure but there was a party bus company in Indianapolis that used purple cutaway buses

Might be worth a call. if they aren't forthcoming with info you can probably drive to wherever their lot is and get enough of a look to distinguish a cutaway from an all american. Heck if it was me I'd park nearby and fly my drone over for a look.
