? BB TC2000 arm rest buzzer

When I drove Millicent home from the First Student barn, a very annoying buzzer kept going
off, on and off,... somewhere -- somewhere near my ear. But where? It was near the
electrical box on my left, but not in that. I finally found the silly thing inside the
driver's armrest, with the wires directly thru to the el box. So I cut the wire
inside the el box and proceeded happily home.

Now. All the emergency exits had switches, so I'm guessing the buzzer was to inform the
driver that little Johnny was pushing his kid sister out the window. One of those switches
could certainly have been shorting out a bit as the bus rattled along. But before I
remove the buzzer and related wiring... could it be for anything else?

I believe it is just for the emergency exits. I have been using a bluebird transshuttle (tc1000) for years and the lift door switch would trigger the buzzer often and I had a fun time too trying to find that buzzer in the arm rest and I did the same thing a quick clip and no more buzzer.

Yep, just for the emergency exits, including the hatches up top. The only concern I would have (other than a possible short) is the top hatches. Sometimes they're a little squirrelly with the emergency release not wanting to seat properly. You might want to check to make sure the clip on it is secure so the hatch doesn't flop around going down the road.

I guess you've already bypassed the emergency windows and the rear door w/ the Roof Raise and the Kingly Rear Entrance...

The only thing that buzzer is good for is so the little brats, I mean, students can annoy the driver going down the road. The best solution: one driver wrote up every kid sitting in the seats by the emergency windows since no one would 'fess up to who was pulling the handle...That suspended a few of 'em for a week.
And no, I don't think school buses should have seat belts- "Mr. Driver, Johny hit me with his seat belt!" (As blood spews everywhere) "I didn't hit him!!" "Did too!!" "No, I didn't!! He said my momma's a ...!!"...

Ah yes... I forgot we have a REAL School Bus Driver in our midst. Yes, of course the little
scholars would wiggle the windows for sport! I have nothing against
kids. Heck, I was one myself once. Double heck... I still are one!

No roof hatches on Millicent. Wouldn't be a bad idea, in the event the bus lands on its
side. I could probably kick/push a windshield out, if that ever happens.

All right, so the Arm Rest Buzzer is not connected to the crank shaft or anything else
vital. Out it goes. Thanks!

"..a quick clip and no more..." ...kids. Smartest $250,- I ever spent.

Elliot....you never cease to amaze me....eluding to that particular procedure while discussing clipping the wire to an annoying buzzer? I must meet you...
