I came across this little gem when I was removing the elbow rest, any ideas?
I'll find it I was just looking for a quick answer if someone knows. Seems like a sneaky location to me

Was it a buzzer for a "whistle stop"? If you bus was used for transit that would be my guess.

Edit: Just looked back and saw your bus was a book mobile. It could be some other warning buzzer.

I was at the bus today. The buzzer has an ignition controlled hot and takes a negative signal to activate it. I tried everything I could think of, headlights, driving lights, marker lights. I do have a buzzer when the fuel level is around 1/4 tank. I never noticed where it was coming from but it's annoying. If this is it I'll be happy to toss it to the wind gods

Emergency exits, windows, vents on roof, rear door, etc. all have a switch to cause buzzing. Disconnect it.

I'm really leaning towards a low fuel warning buzzer. It was intermittently buzzing when the fur level was around 1/4 tank and I was driving on a twisty mountain road. I filled the tank and it stopped as did the low fuel idiot light. I'm going cut the wires and feed them up to the switch panel and put an indicator light in one of the spare holes. I don't have any emergency exits or hatches. There are, however, 3 pin switches on the the large back side door. I think they're for busses with wheelchair lifts and only one is connected for the overhead exit light.

Just make sure your bus still starts after you cut the wires.

This is it, I was removing the arm rest....sneaky location. There's plenty of room in the switch panel for an indicator light

A light will be much nicer than an annoying buzzer.
