Hey fellow skoolie folks,
My 2003 Bluebird Model TC2000 has pneumatic/air power doors. The current cylinder piston that runs the doors leaks like crazy from where the piston comes in and out of the cylinder.
I removed the unit from the bus hoping I could take it apart and replace some seals or similar. It doesn't seem to come apart for any service though.
The unit says it is from Bosch. The numbers I see on the side are 0-821-402-020 and then a 918. At the front I see some other numbers that are similar: 1-825-108-971. There are other numbers which look more like stroke length and force. I can't find the numbers for this unit on the web at all. Some of the bus places say they have a cylinder that should be for my bus but they look slightly different. They also run around $700!
I want to ideally keep the existing door and the air actuation. If I could convert it over to all electric I would be willing to do that but haven't seen anyone that has done such a retrofit.
Thanks for any insights or help that folks may have.
