What I meant at the start of the thread by 'every way possible' is things like this. Crazy stupid things that this game allows once you build a vehicle realistically
( Well, aside from those rockets )

Completion is finally somewhat in sight. Still a bunch more small things to do though. On that note actually, do any of you have a step well light? It's hard to come by a clear reference for those.

I do, it comes on when I open the door...

I'll make the great assumption you'd like a pic and a diameter (mines round) ?

Next time I'm outside I'll get it, if Native doesn't beat me to it!

This pic may help...

Yup! Round is a good sign because it may be OEM then.

I have one too, but iit only worked once. I think the socket is corroded. It is on my "to do when I have nothing else to do" list. It is also round. I am pretty sure I have a photo 'causeI have photos of the stairwell refurbisment I did. Hold my beer while I look for it.

I said hold it, not drink it!

By the way, your rocket bus missed the "spash down" point.

Here it is at the top of the stairs on the right ... just below the 4x6 I was using as a foot prop before I built a proper prop.

Of course, y'all'll have to turn your screens to orient it. (like how I contracted "you all will"?)

Aww. Looks to be aftermarket

banman, from what it looks like, you might have what I'm after.

What I'm looking for is a straight-on picture with relatively neutral lighting so it can be used as an in-game texture, and as a reference to model it. One picture of it lit up and one picture of it off would be a great help too!

Would be awesome if you could do that

You've got the right part...

Did you see the earlier pic I posted with the light lit? Probably not a good angle for you... see post # 204

Here's todays pic -- can get better pix if you want them.

What I'm looking for is an angle from here. I've only found one picture online of this part from an angle like that and it's watermarked and low resolution. So you're my only hope here .

Somehow, the post following my spec sheets did not appear.

Awesome. That works! I was doing a quick search for dimensions (found them) when I came across the angle I was looking for too (search engine trolling me ). The pic I found was too clean, so I combined it ~50/50 with yours and the end result is really nice.

Now to make it turn on when the door opens in-game

Nice!

I believe my light only turns on (when opening the door) if the engines running, or I have the headlights turned on.

Since mine is only working some of the time, I will ask this:

Does the light come on if the door is opened by hand as opposed to air pressure?

I usually open the door by hand since the air pressure goes down over night. So I had not thought that the door switch on the dash might need to be in the open position to engage the stepwell light.

One of the subtle differences between our sister buses:
My door is electrically actuated.
My brakes are hydraulic.
I have no air compressor. (although it will be a cool add-on at some point!)

My door is electrically "controlled", but pneumatically operated.
AIr brakes and suspension.
Yeah, a compressor would be a nice add-on, then you could get air springs.

It will be such fun comparing and contrasting the two buses! I can hardly wait, but under the circumstances, I will.
