Well now, there is another little difference between our twin buses. Ours has a separate license light.

Apparently, it had a bit too much to drink the night before.
Hmmm, yours doesn't have the "eye brows" above the upper warning lights either.

Picturing some dude pouring over an options catalog in the back of a bus garage saying "I must have this" for my fleet and selling the school board on it...

So strange ... yeah, that would have been an interesting meeting in which to be a fly on the wall.

Even if our bus had them, they would be gone by now. When I deleted the lights, I eliminated all signs of them.

It's crazy how many options a school bus can have. It's why my virtual one is taking so long. I'm putting on a bunch of parts and making sure it's customizable.

Ex. you can remove the light hoods separately from the lights

It's cool though. School buses are a pretty versatile platform that I've seen you can bolt just about any type of accessory to

And here I was thinking the only option one had in choosing a school bus is the color!

Do the doors rest on anything other than the steps when closed?

The doors rest *against* the bottom of the stairs. There is a rubber bumper pad. The actual doors themselves extend below the bottom stair.

I'll see if I have a picture for you.

Take a look at the picture I posted in post #112. You can see the doors hang below the lowest step.

Do the doors have much give when opened? Ex. can you wiggle them back and forth with your hand?

In normal operation with the pneumatic switch in "normal", I can move them a little. They are basically stiff with only about as much movement as one would expect with a pneumatic pressure holding against a 1-foot lever arm (the door). When closed by the pneumatics, it is difficult to do more than wiggle the doors a touch, with the pneumatics pulling the doors closed tight after you are done yanking your brains out.

What does that have to do with the doo--oh! You mean yanking the door! Right, I knew that.

Banman-esque bus, but more abused and ready for the junkyard, perfect for derbying!

I believe that's already painted inside...

Oh, and my electric doors don't have much play along whatever position they're opened to. Snug when closed, snug when open.

What do you guys have for transmissions? I've got both an Allison 2000 series and an MD3060 as options at the moment.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about this. What are the dimensions of the front mudflap, and is it the same material as the rear? Could you possibly get a picture of how it's shaped ?

16" wide (horizontal) by 14" long (vertical) by 1/4" thick. It is the same material as the back, only not as thick.
