This is a manual from an older model, but it does explain most of the indicators.

Aw man ... a brand new machine and you already have an air leak!

Say why are both of your turn indicators on?

Wait what? Air leak?

Hazards were on. I was just testing if they worked on the dash too

Yeah man, your air pressure was near zero. Does the simulation "remember" the settings from the last use?

Oh, that was only a couple seconds after startup. Didn't have the pressure light ready yet.

Every time you load up the vehicle the oil pressure, and air pressure have to come back up.

In the real world, the air pressure is held in the tanks after the engine is turned off. If you have a leak, it slowly drops. In my bus, it drops to below 60 PSI over night most of the time. Inn others, it stays filled up for weeks on end.

It resets each time you load it up just so you can hear the buzz/alarm upon starting. I know it's really short, but otherwise I'd get "Why is this thing constantly beeping it's so annoying!!"

The air pressure gauge in-game doesn't reflect anything anyways, it's just for show.

Oh, btw, how does the cluster look at night with the lights on? Having trouble finding a good reference for that.

Also, not related to the simulation, but, why do these older buses have 'jumpy'/'jittery' gauges sometimes?

(I wish that 'edit' button showed up a little longer)

Oh, by the way, simulating driving buses is a relative niche in the gaming world. While people may look at what I've done here and think of how it could be used for bad, there's also some people who just want to drive a bus, whether as something to pass the time, or as something as an in between to actually driving one IRL.

I'm glad that it's reached those audiences as well. Watching these kinds of videos puts a smile on my face, knowing that people are genuinely enjoying using it and are noticing all the little things

My wife says the same thing every time I start the engine. At least yours is a second, not a minute or two. I would love it if my pressure built up that quickly!

I do like the way your bus sounds.

Here is a shot of our cluster at night:

Bear in mind that I have replaced my instrument lights with LED lights and I keep the dimmer switch turned down to just enough to see while driving at night.

The instruments get jittery because they are old. The connections get corroded and the constant shaking that the buses endure make the connections get loose from time to time. I am glad ours is not one that does this.

So the entire gauge cluster, with the exception of the odometer, is greenish backlit?

edit: how's this?

Do I need to give the gauges a slightly more turquoise tint?

Not green, white. The green does look good though.

Does the text itself glow green though? It looks like the text is green, and the 'notches' are white in your picture.

I had not noticed that before. I suppose it is phosphorescence. When driving it looks yellow if anything. The picture does look to have a slight green tinge to it. You have a good eye.

I just finished watching the whole show ... it was a riot! The guy was flabbergasted when the AI cars stopped for the school bus when the door was opened. The AI school bus was another story!

Cars think the bus is larger than it is, so technically they stop because they think there's an obstacle in the road. Though I don't know why the other bus stopped steering and instead accelerated straight at him

Hopefully this is correct now

Oh yeah, is there really no "low fuel" light? I was looking at that manual and the fuel one is actually just water in fuel separator

Also, with the air gauges, are they just stacked like this, or is the orange one flatter?

The car were pulling in front of the 'big bus" when it was not displaying the stop sign/flashers. As soon as he turned them on they stopped. A couple tried to turn around.

The gauges in white are perfect!

There really is no low fuel light. I've been down to 5 gallons once, no light. When I turn on the key before starting the engine, all of the lights come on for a bit. There is no low fuel indicator then either.

The primary (white) and secondary (orange-red) indicator needles are the EXACT same size and shape.

Does someone know what these side mirrors are called?

I've been trying to find references for them to add them as an option to my model but I've only found front facing pictures like this.
