The one thing BeamNG can't do is tearing so I have to settle for some bending + parts of the model disappearing instead.

The fiberglass will also crack/bend like windshield glass -- if that's a parameter you could work with -- 'super duty' windshield glass...

Oh yeah, all the windows will be breakable. Right now my windshield physics model has no bolting and it just falls right off, so I'm driving without it until that's fixed
By the way, do you or Native happend to know your empty weights? I've only found one person mentioning empty weight for a "Thomas Freightliner 71pax" by searching around and theirs was 18,000. Would just like to be sure to get mine right in the game

Mine had "17500" stenciled on the side. That would be the empty weight (17500 pounds) with seats installed. With all of the seats and subfloor removed (and the back heater) it weighed in at 16968 pounds (as I recall ... I just call it 17000 pounds)

Sweet, I've got some weight to play with then
In BeamNG more weight means you can make things more stable/rigid. My bus is currently underweight and that's actually a good thing.
Also, is the exhaust split into multiple sections? I'm looking back at the pictures, looks like it may be quite segmented.
(Also, a more fun method of destruction https://youtu.be/0ymmVm-o-RA)

The exhaust is most likely done in sections with band clamps holding them together. Thhat is how I built our exhaust system. I did need to do a little welding of pipe to hold the heavily bent sections together ... like the one arounf the axle. I also welded a few patches in the S-pipe that leads directly off of the turbo down under he bus as we had a few holes in that pipe and a new one was WAY to expensive for what it is. I have photos, if needed let me know.

LOL!!! I do not think our bus would even make it up that ramp, let alone launch itself off of it!

Here's a weird question. Would you know how much the fender extension weighs? I've seen anything from 8lb to 75lb online :/

I do not. I am not sure what a fender extension is anyway. About the only fenders we have on our bus is the two front "fenders" that are part of the hood.

The fender extension is what it seems the hood seat part is called.

Okay, what I was calling the hood seat being the fender extension ... then I would think 8 pounds is closer to the weight (rather than 75).

Hey again. I took a break for a while on the physics side of things, but started to work on it again.
Now comes the real fun in BeamNG, throwing this down a cliff ;)
The body should probably seperate a bit easier, and something is breaking that shouldn't, causing the spikes. But otherwise it's going pretty good!
As a bonus, here's a suspension view. Shows why everything needs to be modeled.

Oh right, I do have a question!
What kind of diffs are on these buses? I currently have an open diff setup on the BeamNG model but it's so easy to get stuck

Our bus has a Meritor rear end with 557:1 gears. I do not believe it is locking. As for getting stuck, a lot of that depends on the road surface and the tire tread.

Do you know if it's open or limited slip? I did a bunch of searching this morning and didn't find anything on that, though I did see a sort of cutaway and it looked like limited slip.
