The blinker fluid is especially good to make note of! Like engine oils, blinker fluid comes in several weights. The problem is that no manufacturer publishes the weight requirement for their blinker system. One has to draw some of the fluid out of the reservoir and test it by the Turing test method to find out the correct weight before the reservoir runs out.

This is an awesome idea. I'll have to try to fill this out as we get to know our bus a little more. We'll be full timing, eventually, so being able to open a folder and pull out a comprehensive spec sheet like this will be really handy when roadside emergencies arise!

When you are under the hood and see a manf sticker/label- snap a phone photo. It's a bit of work up-front, but saves time in the end.

Autoparts store didn't find a radiator hose for a BlueBird bus, but could get me a Gates 2060 because I copied the markings on the old hose.

Funny you should mention Gates. I'm doing a VIN lookup and copying all relevant information (from Gates and also Dayco) into a spreadsheet as we speak. It was a quick copy/paste from your post to an Excel. The guy who's doing the demo and painting on the bus has given me the filter numbers, so I've filled that info in too, and I've used pics of the ID stickers on the bus, tires, and batteries to get some of that info. I'm about 1/4 complete on the sheet, and I've only been working for 30 minutes.

I'd much rather do the work upfront than try to do it on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
