Buying a bus from First Student

Good morning,
We are in the market for a short bus, but our time is limited to finding the perfect specimen...and our pocketbook.

Has anyone dealt with First Student in purchasing a bus. How much room do the have to haggle? Or these typically retired out of fleet? Anything you can think of?

Thank you in advance for any light you can shine.

Welcome aboard!
The search engine in the forum sucks...
It produces better results if you use a different search engine and add Skoolie in your search

First Student

I've been doing my research and I've not heard great things about First Student.

This morning, I talked to my mother who is a driver for First Student. She says they drive them into the ground. She was telling me horror stories about running them low on oil, parts falling off, and general poor maintenance.

I'm also on the hunt for good sources. For me, the right vehicle to start with is the most important aspect.

I've also only heard horror stories about buying from 1st student. They also don't really have any incentive to help people get into a bus for a good deal either, they typically just flat out wont negotiate prices. I would find a small district that keeps its own fleet.
