Chevy express 6.0L gas engine - lifespan??

Hi all,
I'm considering buying a converted 2006 Chevy Express shuttle bus (about 23' long). It's got a 6.0l gas engine, and 140 000 miles (225 000 km).

I know just about nothing about engines, but doing some research, I read that gas engine have a much shorter lifespan than diesel ones.
So I'm wondering if I should be worried about this one?

Any help is appreciated

Cheers!

As far as I'm aware, the GM 6.0 gasser is a winner of an engine. Quite a few have been said to run well over 250K miles with some care.

The Ford 6.0 diesel, on the other hand, was a nightmare. It's shortcomings could be overcome at considerable cost and effort (though it had to be done before the engine failed, it was a complete loss after that). Once "bulletproofed", they gained pretty good reputations.

Just be aware that "Cutaway" style buses don't have high GVW ratings, so don't plan a build that will add a lot of weight. They are easy to overload if you go overboard.

Thank you for your input! Very reassuring to read
As for the weight, good to know! Though I don't plan on doing anything too crazy, so it shouldn't be heavier than the 20 or so passengers it used to carry.

I've driven many GM 6.0 Vortec engines for work and never had any issues, I like those engines a lot.
