Chrome bumpers?

I'd like to swap out my 2003 Bluebird's front and rear bumpers out for chrome. The rear one has dents. I was quoted $850 each to chrome them not including repair if needed at a local shop. I cant find an online source for other than OTR truck bumpers. Any ideas?

I havent seen too many in the USA.. there are quite a few sold in peurto rico and south america where they chrome up everything..

also wondering if those bluebird bumpers are truly custom or if they match up to anpther one that might be sold for an OTR or MD truck but would fit the bus..

for instance the navistar school busses can use a lot of the same parts that went on 4700 trucks...

might just need to masure them up and then look for some online that measure up

Thanks for the response. yeah, I found a place in central CA that can even make a custom chrome bumper for $550 each but its too far to deal with. About the chrome, yeah, I am a vain son of a b&^%! I'm old school. Love chrome and I think the bumpers will tie in the Alcoa's and paint when I get to that stage.

Chrome? YES! I love CHROME! By all means go chrome--hang the cost. Every time I walk past my bus I'm pleased by the CHROME bumpers. However, a couple of words of caution about replating. Insist on triple plating, copper, nichel, chrome. Insist that all edges both showing and not showing be rounded smooth with a flapper disc and that ALL!!! old plating be removed. The reason for founding the edges is that chrome ions don't do square corners. That's why you see so many replated bumpers peeling. Like this on a buddies MG:
.

My bumpers were bent and pitted and looked like this:
.

I collected the bumpers afret they had been straightened and polished and made sure the edges hac been properly polished--they were. I don't recall what the plating cost (I did shop some) but what ever it was it was worth it to me.

I've found bumpers on Ebay for $400-$600 for my bus.
