Cool bus spotted

This Amtran FE just showed up at a local RV dealer's lot. It has a complicated AC unit that consists of a 4 cyl diesel engine linked to a 50 amp alternator and an ac compressor.

Was there a sale price?
Speaking of spotting buses, I'm finding this quite common. Parked in front of every school in town. I'm sure a it's a nationwide issue.

We've had a sign like that at the local bus yard so long the sign is aging pretty badly.

Same in this neck of the woods the signs sunbleached so badly you couldn't read them. They just put up new ones saying starting pay $14.00 an hour I'm pretty sure it would take triple that for me to do that job! Gene

I think the bus is supposed to look like an old train car with that roof

I like it, but if I want the "railroad" roof, I have other things to play with...

That is likely a bus-based 'trolley', my local transit service has a few of these. Nothing more than a standard Gillig transit bus with a modified body to mimic an old trolley streetcar. This one has the look of a modified Blue Bird Wanderlodge, or perhaps an AmTran. Still kind of cool though.
