Hey ECCB, on the positive side of all this chaos in FL and elsewhere, pretty soon everyone in the country will have been exposed to it, or had it and recovered or not.

Mother Nature takes care of itself, and since the globe is severely overpopulated already, this is one way that Mother handles the situation.

In the end: "Only the strong survive", and that's only temporarily. Those who've passed on from this nasty strain of virus probably would have passed sooner rather than later from some other cause.

I'm not callous, but if one's time is up, it's up. Nothing can or will change that. A virus vaccine will prolong the inevitable, until something else rolls in to thin the herd.

Stay safe, everyone...

incredibly callous and cynical.
An extra 350k+ Americans died this year but it was just "thier time" huh? I don't buy that.

We should bring back DDT and put all that Asbestos back in homes and Lead in paint and gasoline, we need to kill off more people. I know, let's give everyone free opium, at least for a couple years, then make them work in coal mines to get more, that will work to reduce the number of people alive.

Notice Japan's population growth without poisoning and sickening everyone and causing suffering and death.

How many Americans died every day in the country before this virus? I don't have an answer, but the # is high.
Unfortunately, many folks don't take care of the body they live in, and as a result their lives are shorter than those who eat right and exercise regularly. Proven facts.

Now compare that to today. The percentage point increase due to the virus is negligible, at best. Sorry if you have lost anyone to it. The actual total for 2020 is around 340K if the media has it right?

I still think it's dangerous, and if you can prevent catching it by whatever means you choose, the better you'll be.

Good luck to you...

An EXTRA 350k. More than we lost in WW2. Unreal.

You're not enlightened. Everyone knows this ****. They just have the common decency to not echo it during the height of a pandemic killing the people your fellow forum-members love and cherish in the most horrible of ways.

You go through what my father and my family went through - a death of loneliness & terror divorced from those you love - and we'll see how cavalier you are.

Enjoy your cesspool, gents. I'm done here.

Yay! (Sarcasm) Looks like my state has made it the leader of this world in terms of percentage of cases. Crazy.

ECCB, I have looked at a lot of your posts about school buses and related items and you seem to be a knowledgeable person. But why do you continue to regurgitate this half ass “data” from the media? This is not helpful at all. This comparison you posted Taiwan vs Florida is about as stupid as you can get. There are a lot of data points that are missing. What is the age distribution of the two populations? Have either population had a corona virus outbreak before? Could there be hidden immunity? Are there different genetics involved? Somehow I get the feeling from your posts that politicians are the answer to our problems. If Florida just had a Democrat governor this problem would go away. Well come live in New Mexico we have a democrat governor and we don't have any cases of covid 19. Or California where my brother lives, democrat governor and legislature and they have largely wiped out covid 19 with their policies. Learn to ask questions and quit taking someone's word for everything. There is a saying figures don't lie but liars figure.
Peteg59, Your post was not helpful either. Yes, we pass on sooner or later, but have some empathy for others. Please do the right thing in the future. The damage to our society from this pandemic is real. Some have lost loved ones and friends. Our school bus driver for the street I live on caught covid and was in intensive care for 10 days. She almost didn't make it. She also works at Walmart part time and has told everyone how bad it was. Others have been financially ruined, very few are going to escape the sad consequences in one way or the other. But to blindly listen to our politicians and media left or right are not going to help us at all. We need to thoroughly research and learn as much as possible about this virus and mitigation factors as we can. We also need to try to remove our political filters that we use so that we can educate ourselves. Don't be fooled by the propaganda. We need to help our selves and each other. This forum by and large is about helping others in a community of school bus converters that want the freedom to make their own RV. When it gets right down to our pet projects, skoolies the government, insurance companies and the RV industry are not our friends. Remember a government strong enough to give us what we want is strong enough to take what we have. Stay well my friends.

Taiwan vs FL makes sense. Similar population, and FL even has WAY lower population density.
Sorry you're into partisan politics but I aint playing your game.

I apologize to any member that I might have troubled with my statements above.

This thread sucks. As we all know, the virus is real. Bad.

Short and sweet: Again apologize to anyone that felt troubled in any way by my earlier post.

Have a good evening...

Folks - we are going to close this thread after months of removing spats, name calling and political comments, that run squarely afoul of the site rules.

This Forum is dedicated to Skoolie related discussions and while we understand that there is much turmoil in the world and that many people are directly affected, this forum simply isn't the place for these topics. Thanks for understanding.
