We've got enough dead to fill soldier field.
Armed protesters stormed the michigan capital yesterday. Pretty pathetic if you look at the footage. Had the protesters been native american or hispanic they'd have been met with violence.

A mob of the MAGA persuasion
Conducted a statehouse invasion.
Through heavily armed,
They parted unharmed,
And that's how you know they're Caucasian.

I ask "Did you write that, Banman?"
If so, I see that you can, man,
have a future exciting
in limmerick writing
once you don't work for the man.

I wish!
It's a hobby and passion of my wife -- who IS that smart (not sure where I fit in...) but in this case she showed it to me from where I don't know.
I should have said "author unknown"...

Our publixes are FULLY stocked. Despite Publix having record profits they've raised the prices on most items at least once during the covid crisis.
Not cool, Publix.

Got up this am and we got ourselves tested for Covid-19 antibodies. Its NOT a simple finger prick anymore, though. They draw a vial out of you now. I HATE needles... Roxy too. They did mine painlessly but Roxy's is hurting her.
They didn't practice any sort of social distancing a the drive through testing center. The girl at the check in tent walks up to the car with her mask dangling. She then hands up clipboards with the forms to fill out. She's taking money from folks and doing all the forms. NO real sterilization going on at that tent.
We fill out our forms and proceed to the testing tent. No proper distances being used. Other patients are close to us and not wearing masks.
For $40 for the both of us we'll know within 72hrs if we've had covid. I sure hope we already have.
Now to roll a fatty after all that hassle and stress. A covid testing site is great place to GET covid!

Tell Roxy we feel for her!
It sure does seem like they are trying to keep the spread alive. Here's to hoping y'all get your results quickly.

Now that its all done it wasn't so bad. I just REALLY hate needles. If I can do this anyone can. So I implore you all- go out and find your community's antibody testing center and get it done. SHow how much you support America! The medical professionals need the data to track where covid has been.
If were found to have antibodies it would almost certainly be from late jan early feb. I almost missed the Swarm because I was so sick. But there was also that exposure through roxy's job. Had all the symptoms back in Feb though.
I sure wish there were posters out there EVERYWHERE of Uncle Sam saying something like "DO your duty! Get tested today!".

On another note- security guard in Michigan was shot in the head for telling a customer they had to wear a mask to come in the store.

We have too NOW!! the only thing I haven't done is go out to eat. But I did Monday!!! They opened back up. I haven't washed my hands one more time than I do any flu season. I am in the convenience store daily. My family has been lucky we are all working more than ever. Both freezers are full. All my guns are cleaned, knives are sharp. Enough protein on my property for years.

The jacksonville and volusia beach openings have caused spikes in cases in those areas to the point that places that had so far not shut down have now shut down due to employees becoming infected and sick. MMJ dispensaries in both areas have had to shut down locations. That hasn't happened until recently.
Sweden's strategy is failing miserably. They're coming up on 3000 dead while their surrounding neighbors all have tallies still in the hundreds.

Did you get the test results yet? If you tested positive would you do anything different?

Still waiting. Today's day 3 of the "1 to 3" day wait.
If we both test positive we'll still wear masks and do social distancing. But yeah it would change things a little bit.
Would start going back to the grocery store. Would make an appointment at the dentist. Start going back to the dispensaries that have sensible covid protocols in place.
But that's all assuming that we have antibodies.
the test is through quest diagnostics, fwiw.

I got a code enforcement warning letter yesterday. Seems that during covid the bus came under the attention of the new code enforcement officer.
I called and told the city manager and she found my "file" that had the info from our last code encounter. All's well now and the bus is 200% approved to park in the city lol.

My wife and I had the test on Tuesday. No results yet but I’m not really sure if it will matter. So many say most tests are not accurate I don’t know if I’d believe the results or not.

OUtstanding! Thanks for doing your part and getting tested.
Roche and Quest are two of the good ones, supposedly. Did they do a blood draw or was it just a finger prick test?
