That's along the lines of what I was originally thinking. If it suits out layout to keep the door available, I want to, but I also don't want to get hung up on it.

I've heard of others doing that as well. With our current floorpan, it looks like the outside door might be access to our water filtration, tankless water heater, and pump. Everything is subject to change at this stage, though!
