Doesn't anyone know how to replace the plastic window clips?

Doesn't anybody out there have any idea how to replace broken window slides? These are the two little push slides we ALL have to slide the windows up and down. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? I just snapped another one opening a window. They seem to break in half easy. I can't seem to find any info online about it. I can't believe I would be the only one. Well, maybe I can believe it. It would be my luck.

I looked into it and it doesn't look fun. What I did, was move those windows to areas where I know they will never be opened. I then used some TEK screws to fix them up for good. I moved my good windows to spots where I will be using them.

That's the best you got???? Just replace the windows??? If my battery died should I replace the engine???? Seriously, there aren't any scrap busses around here I could even get spare windows from. It looks like the top part of the window can maybe be tapped upwards and I can get at it that way. Anyone with any experience tried this?

I know that will not help much, but I do have about 24 windows sitting around I dont need anymore.

For some things you might be the first....but make sure you pass on the knowledge gained douring the repair process because I'm sure you will not be the last to run into this problem.

My window slides don't work for $hit. Where abouts are they snapping? Is it an internal thing or can you atleast see where they are cracking? Someone might have some spare windows laying around from an RV window install on the board and that might be your best bet. Otherwise you are taking my route I think and JB Welding them.

They are snapping right in the middle where I can see them, taunting me!!! I found a website that sells the replacement slides for a $1.63/ea. but they do not have any instructions. The plastic welding might be my best option so far. Anyone near Vegas with some extra windows??

I'd say, order a couple of those slides. When they come in, you can see better how they work. If it's not feasible, then you have only spent a little over $3. You can take the window out, and take it totally apart. You might be able to order that top piece that goes across the top of the top window and has the latches in it. Can you order it already assembled?

I have only found the plastic pieces and springs, I havent found any pre-assembled tops. I'm going to try tapping the top off when the new slide pieces come and replace them from under the top portion. My only worry is the seals around the window. I don't want rattleing windows. I'll let everyone know what happens.

What about finding your local bus yard and asking them? I notice those sort of places don't get mentioned here for some reason. Though if I had a problem one of the first places I go is one of my local bus yards to see what they have to recommend. Maybe because we are in the country and the local bus yard is my neighbor though...they also keep an awesome bus junk-yard so I buy stuff from them as well.
