Dose the smell go away?

We just purchased a 2001 Bluebird rear engine bus today. Great condition drives great, seats already removed! But omg the smell! I have a very sensitive nose and our bus is extremely stinky. It smells like a garage. Dose this smell go away after you pull the flooring out and cover the engine box with framing and installation? Shew!

Hard to say exactly which odor you're picking up but generally speaking I'd suggest soap and water rather than just waiting for it to go away on its own!

Metal doesn't usually absord odors. Once you get all the permeable stuff out the smell will dissipate. Febreze anyone?

Generally speaking, yes.

Paint and stain and lumber and all kinds of things will change the smell.

Now my bus smells like wood...and wet dogs.

It does. Ours smelled like a locker room.

once you teaar out all the water-logged wood and old probably partially molded seats.. or start storing your bus under a roof it will smell fine.. ultimately both of mine both smell like.. well school busses.. since im not converting.. on mine I found mold under part of the floor that had been wet.. fixed that and the mold smell went away..
