"ECOLIERS" ???

I saw an all-yellow flat-nose Bluebird approach me in the opposite passing lane on the interstate this morning. This was very near to the junction of I-90 (Boston to Seattle) and I-87 (NYC up to the Canadian border, where it becomes Route 15 to Montreal).

As it got nearer, I wondered what district it was from. I suspected students from somewhere in the region were out on a field trip.

Then noticed the only marking was "ECOLIERS" in black letters painted onto the yellow glass above the windshield. As it flashed by, I saw that the bus was pulling a dark full-size van on a rigid towbar behind it.

Could "ECOLIERS" be Quebecois for "SKOOLIES"??? Inquiring minds want to know.

"ecoliers" means "school children" in French/Quebecois.
