Factory roof rack

Was browsing though my factory bus parts catalog and ran access this gem.

Anyone ever seen one of these on a bus out in the wild? Built as a factory option.

Have a guess how it's built and how big it is. I might try to recreate it someday I would say it's about 6ft wide 12ft long maybe 1ft of what looks like solid lower walls and maybe 8" of railing around the side, I would say the floor is very close to the tops of the bows on the roof and it use's those solid sides for support? The solid sides maybe one inch lip to bolt to the roof ribs?

What can you make out from the diagram?

If you click on the pic and bring it up in it's own window, and then click it again, it will enlarge it. Looks like the side panels are a good 12" tall, rack is farther off the roof than you might think. It also comes in 3 section or 5 section.

Roof rack doubles the seating capacity! Throw the short kids up top!
